ITEC Scholarship

ITEC Scholarship, or the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme, for short, is one of the largest capacity-building platforms of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India. Instituted in 1964, ITEC is one of the oldest institutionalized arrangements for international capacity building having trained more than 200,000 officials from 160+ countries in both the civil and the defense sectors.

As part of the Ministry of External Affairs, the Government of India’s flagship program, ITEC is a fully funded program. It has been my privilege to be able to offer training courses to citizens from SAARC country, both civilians and defense, in a variety of centers of excellence in India. These courses not only provide them with professional skills but also prepare them for a world that is becoming increasingly global.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Academic qualifications as per the Institute of the Course.
  • Working knowledge of English is required to follow the Course.
  • Age between 25 to 45 years.
  • Medically fit to undertake the training.
  • Candidates are from the Government, Public and Private Sectors, Universities, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, etc.
  • Candidates should possess adequate work experience

Application Process

The applications must be sent to the Embassy or High Commission of India, which is accredited or simultaneously accredited to the nominated country, along with the candidate’s undertaking and the employer’s certification (Part-II of Application Form).

By checking in at www.itecgoi.in, applicants can check the status of their application at a later time. While filling out the form, you can make a note of your log-in information.
